About Me

Hi! I am a Bioinformatician Scientist at GBRC, India. My research focuses on microbial metagenomics to study microbial evolution, transmission, host-pathogen interactions to support the One Health framework. Furthermore, I am also deeply interested in Computational Biology, Statistics, Generative AI, and Deep Learning.

Beyond bioinformatics, I enjoy exploring Gujarati literature, scouting new culinary ideas, and occasionally challenging the status quo.

Projects

  • Analyzed Nanopore and Illumina metagenomic datasets
  • Identified viral co-infections in clincal specimen (SARS-CoV-2 & Rhinovirus A,B)
  • Developing workflow for hybrid assemblies and characterisation of Bacteriophages
  • Taxonomic profiling of clinical & vector specimen using Kraken2, GTDB-TK, GeNomad
  • Standarised workflow for retrieval of Metagenome-Assembled Genomes
  • Designed Random Forest model for tumor subtype classification from scRNA-Seq dataset
  • Identified non-coding RNA expressions in estrogen-response pathways in KAS-Seq and GRO-Seq datasets
  • Identified novel pH-sensitive residues (H141, H305)
  • Applied Molecular docking & Molecular docking simulation approaches to characterise mutations linked with M. Tuberculosis
